Every year almost all the grade sixers in the Yukon come to an event called “Polar Games”. It runs for two days in a row and we do fun things like: play different sports, go to a dance, eat lots of food and go swimming.
There were two combinations of sports you could choose. (Archery, curling, basketball and swimming or soccer, handball, basketball and swimming). Our teams were made up of grade 6 students from all around the Yukon so we got to meet new people and make lots of new friends. It was also the first time we were allowed to buy food and drinks during school time!
Polar games was a once in a lifetime experience and it was sooooooooooooo much fun!
